Burner Slab Yard

JSW Steel USA is seeking to hire a Burner to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Burn steel slabs according to required dimensions and specifications.

• Cut test pieces from slabs as required for quality and inspection purposes.

• Assist supervisors and team members to complete assigned tasks and production targets.

• Remove slag and clean burn edges from slab cuts as needed.

• Follow all work instructions, operating procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Report any deviations, issues, or concerns to the Slab Yard Lead.

• Coordinate with crane operators for safe and efficient slab movement.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.

• Ability to follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

• Ability to work effectively in a heavy industrial environment.

• Must be available to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights).

• This position operates in a heavy industrial steel mill environment and may involve exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving equipment. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
