Bus Aide - Special Needs Transportation

At Lorenz Bus Service in Blaine, we're on the hunt for amazing Bus Aides to join our crew and help transport kids with special needs to their next adventure. As a Bus Aide, you'll be the ultimate ride-along guardian angel, providing safety, support, and a whole lot of heart to our passengers. Buckle up for a rewarding journey with our team and help us save the day, one ride at a time!
Responsibilities:
- Assist students/passengers with boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
- Ensure safe securement of wheelchairs and passengers
- Monitor behavior and provide support to prevent incidents
- Communicate with drivers, passengers, and parents/guardians
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment
- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures
- must be 18 to apply
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull wheelchairs or passengers, if necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with special needs individuals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Background check and clearance
- Drug test (Safety Sensitive Position)
