About the role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join an external delivery team working on a software solution that supports the management of engineering deliverables within the automotive industry, including parts, technical drawings, engineering data and simulation-related information.
The project is connected to numerical simulation processes used in automotive engineering, where digital models and simulations are used to analyse and validate vehicle components and technical solutions before physical testing.
What you'll do
- Gather, analyse and clarify business and engineering requirements with stakeholders.
- Understand engineering processes related to vehicle components, parts, technical drawings, engineering data and numerical simulation.
- Translate business and engineering needs into clear functional requirements, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Act as a bridge between engineering stakeholders and the external delivery team.
- Coordinate and follow up on activities throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and the development team.
- Support Agile ceremonies such as refinement, planning, daily meetings, reviews and retrospectives.
- Maintain and prioritise the Product Backlog together with relevant stakeholders.
- Track progress, dependencies, risks and potential blockers and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and define solutions.
- Support functional testing, validation and acceptance of delivered features.
- Ensure clear communication and visibility of project status to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements and the continuous improvement of the delivery approach.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an Agile software delivery environment.
- Previous experience working with automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or technical product development.
- Good understanding of automotive components, parts, technical drawings and engineering/technical data.
- Knowledge or practical exposure to numerical simulation processes used in engineering, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Ability to understand engineering processes and translate technical/business needs into clear software requirements.
- Experience working closely with development/delivery teams and engineering/business stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery processes.
- Experience with User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, requirements gathering and Product Backlog management.
- Experience coordinating activities, tracking progress, dependencies, risks and blockers.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Structured and organised approach, with strong ownership and attention to detail.
Education
A technical/engineering background is preferred.
Important
The candidate is expected to understand the engineering and simulation context and terminology, while the main responsibility is to analyse requirements, coordinate delivery and facilitate collaboration between engineering stakeholders and the external software development team.
