About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to support the delivery of AI-enabled digital solutions within healthcare.

Working alongside product, technical and business teams, you will help understand user needs, document requirements and support the delivery of solutions that improve service delivery and user experiences. This opportunity suits someone with approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience who is keen to develop their skills across healthcare, AI and digital product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and user needs through interviews, workshops, process reviews and analysis of available evidence.

• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules and functional specifications.

• Support product discovery, backlog refinement, sprint delivery and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders, product teams and developers to clarify requirements and validate proposed solutions.

• Support user acceptance testing, defect triage, stakeholder validation and release readiness.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and help assess the suitability of AI-enabled features for user needs.

• Consider privacy, cybersecurity, data quality, accessibility and risk throughout delivery.

• Maintain accurate documentation and support training, change and user adoption activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business analysis, information systems, business, health informatics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Approximately 1–4 years’ experience in business analysis, product delivery, process improvement or a related role.

• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and document business needs.

• Experience preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules or functional requirements.

• Understanding of Agile delivery, including discovery, backlog refinement, testing, release and continuous improvement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and explain information clearly.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage assigned priorities with guidance.

• Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, stakeholder validation or release readiness.

• Awareness of privacy, cybersecurity, data quality, accessibility and digital delivery risks.

• Ability to collaborate respectfully with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders and seek guidance when needed.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in healthcare, aged care, community care, health informatics or another regulated or safety-critical environment.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Power BI or process-mapping tools.

• Exposure to AI-enabled products, conversational AI, voice-to-text, enterprise search or responsible AI concepts.

• Experience supporting user research, service design, product analytics, change, training or adoption.

• Relevant business analysis, Agile, product management or change management certification, completed or in progress.
