Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Airline Crew Operations, including manpower planning, pairing, rostering, day‑of‑ops tracking, and fatigue compliance. The ideal candidate excels in requirement elicitation, business rule definition, BPMN modelling, and user story creation, with hands-on exposure to Jeppesen crew management tools.

This role requires deep analytical capability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across multi‑vendor delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement elicitation across crew operations, planning, and day‑of‑ops domains.
  • Define and document business rules, BPMN process flows, epics, and user stories.
  • Analyse crew operational scenarios including:

    • Manpower Planning
    • Pairing & Rostering
    • Day-of-Ops Tracking
    • Fatigue Compliance
    • Legality, reserve strategies, qualification/recency
    • Leave/training impacts and disruption management
  • Work closely with product owners, architects, and delivery teams to refine backlog items.
  • Support sprint ceremonies, backlog governance, and cross-team alignment.
  • Contribute to KPI modelling, benefits tracking, and AB pilot assessments.
  • Ensure business rules are correctly represented in RAVE config (no coding required).
  • Collaborate with onsite/offshore teams and support contract/value tracking.
  • Provide input on security/privacy considerations for crew data and ISR content.

Essential Skills & Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Crew Operations processes.
  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Crew rules, CLAs, legality, reserve strategies
    • Qualification/recency, leave/training impacts
    • Disruption use cases
  • Working knowledge of:

    • JMP (manpower models, scenarios)
    • JCT (assignment states, recovery flows)
    • Crew Planner (request types, crew-facing journeys)
  • Ability to interpret business rules surfaced in RAVE config.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in Agile product environments.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Jeppesen transformations (iCrew, NetLine, satellite tools JCT/CP/JMP).
  • Familiarity with integration patterns: Process APIs, Events, MFT.
  • Exposure to fatigue risk management, predictive planning, and AI-assisted planning.
  • Knowledge of AFKL-style data platforms (ODS, lakehouse) and downstream analytics/reporting.
  • Experience working with multi-vendor delivery and distributed teams.
