Business Analyst
Summary
A Business Analyst at a multi-brand quick-service restaurant operator (Cold Stone Creamery, Planet Smoothie, etc.) who collects and analyzes sales, labor, and operational data across 7 stores, builds KPI dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets or BI tools, and supports leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.
Alaqmar QSR Management operates Cold Stone Creamery, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Planet Smoothie, and Wetzel's Pretzels locations across Illinois, Texas, and California. We're looking for a Business Analyst to help us keep scaling the right way.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you'll work closely with leadership to turn store-level data into decisions — tracking performance across our 7 locations and 4 brands, spotting trends, and helping us run a tighter, smarter operation. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to multi-unit retail/restaurant operations and real ownership over projects from day one.
What You'll Do
• Collect, organize, and analyze sales, labor, and operational data across all locations and brands
• Build and maintain dashboards/reports (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools) to track KPIs like productivity, sales trends, and cost of goods
• Support leadership with insights for budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements across stores
• Assist with competitive/market analysis as we evaluate growth opportunities
• Partner with Store Managers and Head of Growth to translate data into action plans
• Prepare clear, concise presentations and reports for leadership review
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or related role (internships count!)
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
• Sharp analytical thinking with strong attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
