Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to evaluate operations, identify inefficiencies, and support management with data-driven insights to improve productivity and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business operations, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Gather, review, and document business requirements through discussions with management and stakeholders
• Prepare business reports, performance summaries, dashboards, and presentations to support management decision-making
• Collect and analyse business data, sales figures, operational metrics, and market information to identify trends and performance gaps
• Develop actionable recommendations to enhance productivity, cost efficiency, resource allocation, and overall business performance
• Assist in developing and monitoring business plans, operational strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports on business progress and outcomes
• Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate implementation of business improvement initiatives
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify potential business opportunities and industry trends
• Maintain accurate documentation of business processes, findings, recommendations, and project progress
• Support management in evaluating new business initiatives and assessing their operational impact

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business recommendations
• Good written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
• Experience in business analysis, operations analysis, or management reporting
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools
