Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into clear functional specifications.
2. Documentation: Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
3. Business Process Mapping: Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
4. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
5. Solution Design & Validation: Work closely with technical teams to validate proposed solutions against business requirements and ensure they meet stakeholder expectations.
6. Agile Project Management: Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies, where applicable.
7. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop test scenarios, coordinate UAT activities, validate system functionality, document defects, and facilitate issue resolution.
8. Data Analysis & Reporting: Use MS Excel, SQL, and reporting tools such as Power BI to analyze business data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
9. Change Request Management: Assess change requests, evaluate their business impact, document revised requirements, and coordinate implementation with relevant teams.
10. Project Monitoring & Support: Track requirement status, monitor deliverables, identify potential risks and dependencies, and ensure timely resolution of project-related issues.
11. Implementation & User Support: Support system implementation, prepare user documentation, coordinate training sessions, and assist stakeholders during rollout and post-implementation activities.
12. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and operational improvements to improve business performance and user experience.
