We are funded by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), which supports and coordinates national research infrastructure to enable high-quality research and drive innovation. NCRIS facilities form a network of world-class research infrastructure across Australia, providing researchers with access to advanced equipment, data, and expertise across a wide range of scientific disciplines.
ACCESS-NRI, Australia’s climate simulator, supports the development, maintenance, and use of climate and weather models to assist research, inform decision-making and help safeguard Australia’s future.
Other NCRIS facilities hosted by ANU include Phenomics Australia and Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility.
The Role
Based at ANU, the Business Analyst will operate in a hybrid arrangement under the broad direction of the Business Manager at ACCESS-NRI, and Deputy CEO Phenomics Australia. This position requires expertise in ANU finance grant management, supported by relevant accounting qualification and the ability to translate complex financial information clearly and concisely. You will bring a proven track record of collaborating with ANU Finance, Human Resources and Contracts teams to manage facilities finances effectively. Drawing on your strong financial acumen, sound judgement, and exceptional communication skills, you will work closely with each NCRIS facility to align ANU reporting requirements with NCRIS and Board reporting obligations.
You will have administration experience in at least one of the following areas: contracts management, project co-ordination or event management, along with demonstrated experience leading or supervising staff. Project co-ordination tasks include and are not limited to: community events, procurement and bulk recruitment. This role provides an opportunity to build on your strong organisational skills and practical approach to business administration, with training and support available in areas where your business administration experience may be limited.
To succeed in this role, you will bring highly developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, enabling you to build and maintain strong working relationships across ANU NCRIS projects and infrastructure.
