Business Analyst

Key responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and extract, consolidate and organise data from internal systems and other relevant sources

• Build and maintain structured datasets, ensuring data consistency, completeness, accuracy and traceability

• Independently develop new reports, from clarifying requirements and defining reporting logic to validating results and delivering final outputs

• Prepare regular sales, marketing and operational reports, and analyse performance trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities

• Develop reusable reporting templates and streamline recurring data preparation and reporting processes through automation

• Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate with frontline, operations, marketing and accounting teams to resolve issues and clarify reporting requirements

• Prepare clear management reports and analytical summaries, maintain reporting documentation, and support ad hoc data analysis and reporting needs

Requirements

• Practical experience in data management, sales or operational reporting, or business analysis; 2 or more years of relevant experience preferred

• Proficient in MS Excel and other data management and reporting tools

• Proven ability to independently turn raw data into accurate, maintainable reports, with a clear understanding of data sources, reporting logic and validation methods

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying, investigating and following up on data issues

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into practical reporting solutions

• A hands-on, organised and self-motivated team player who can manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within deadlines

• Good communication skills in Chinese and English, with the ability to explain findings clearly and collaborate across departments

• Experience in report automation, process improvement or AI-assisted reporting is an advantage
