Role Overview

We are seeking an AWM Domain Analyst to support the transition of multiple application & data projects by establishing functional understanding of existing applications, business processes, and data flows. The role will bridge business and technology teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, accurate source-to-target data mapping, and comprehensive documentation of business rules and data dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Domain Understanding: Understand AWM business processes, key entities such as accounts, portfolios, holdings, transactions, and valuations, and their relationships across systems.
• Project Transition & KT: Conduct functional walkthroughs, document project objectives, processing logic, inputs, outputs, dependencies, and ensure effective knowledge transfer to receiving teams.
• Source-to-Target Mapping: Analyze source and target data structures, define field-level mappings, transformation rules, business logic, and data relationships.
• Data Lineage & Analysis: Trace data from source systems through ETL/ELT pipelines to target platforms, identifying dependencies, gaps, and undocumented logic.
• Functional Documentation: Prepare functional specifications, data dictionaries, business rules, process flows, and transition documents.
• Data Validation: Support data profiling, reconciliation, quality checks, and investigation of mapping discrepancies using SQL.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business SMEs, data architects, data engineers, and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional queries.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Asset & Wealth Management business processes and data concepts.
• Hands-on experience with source-to-target data mapping, data analysis, and functional documentation.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases, data models, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with data warehouses, data integration platforms, and data lineage.
• Ability to understand existing SQL scripts, transformation logic, and legacy system documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and knowledge transfer skills.
