Key Responsibilities
Program Data Management and Analytics
- Extract, validate, analyze, and interpret data from AlayaCare and other organizational data sources.
- Develop and maintain standardized data collection methodologies and reporting processes.
- Monitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Conduct regular data audits and implement corrective measures to support data integrity.
- Analyze referral patterns, program utilization, client demographics, wait times, service volumes, and outcomes.
- Identify trends and emerging issues and provide actionable insights to support operational and strategic planning.
Ministry Reporting and Accountability
- Coordinate and prepare all reporting requirements related to the CALTC Pilot Project.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the Ministry of Long-Term Care and other funders.
- Maintain compliance with reporting standards, performance indicators, and data definitions.
- Track and monitor program performance against established targets, objectives, and deliverables.
- Support annual planning, evaluation, and accountability reporting activities.
Dashboard Development and Performance Monitoring
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
- Create meaningful visualizations that support operational monitoring and strategic decision-making.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to access, service utilization, client outcomes, and program effectiveness.
- Provide regular reports to leadership, program managers, and stakeholders.
Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement
- Support evaluation activities associated with the CALTC Pilot Project.
- Conduct outcome and impact analyses to assess program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership and frontline teams to identify opportunities for service enhancement.
- Provide analytical support for quality improvement initiatives, audits, accreditation activities, and special projects.
- Prepare summaries, presentations, and recommendations based on data findings.
EMR and Reporting System Optimization
- Serve as a technical resource for AlayaCare reporting and data management functions.
- Assist in developing reporting structures and business requirements within the EMR.
- Recommend improvements to documentation practices, workflows, and data capture processes.
- Develop standardized reporting templates and supporting documentation.
- Support staff education regarding data entry standards and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- University degree or college diploma in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Business Analytics, Information Management, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, performance measurement, health informatics, or a related field.
- Experience working within healthcare, home and community care, long-term care, community support services, or seniors' programs preferred.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMRs), ideally AlayaCare.
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Experience supporting government-funded programs and accountability reporting considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario healthcare and long-term care systems is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and visualization tools, preferably Power BI and/or Looker Studio.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and performance measurement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.
- Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and privacy legislation including PHIPA.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
