Business Analyst – COREP / FINREP Regulatory Reporting Remediation

Summary

Business Analyst remediates COREP/FINREP regulatory reporting gaps, tracing data flows and strengthening controls for a major financial institution.

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts with strong COREP or FINREP expertise to join a high-profile Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) remediation programme at the heart of a major regulatory transformation initiative.

The role us hybrid in Krakow - 6 days per month.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to work on complex regulatory reporting challenges, focusing on regulator-identified Key Data Elements (KDEs) and ensuring reporting processes meet the highest standards of governance, transparency, and control.

You will be responsible for analysing how data moves through the organisation—from source systems through transformation and aggregation layers to final regulatory submissions—identifying risks, control gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document end-to-end regulatory reporting processes.

  • Assess regulator-identified Key Data Elements (KDEs) across COREP or FINREP reporting.

  • Trace data lineage from source systems through to regulatory submissions.

  • Identify data quality issues, reporting risks, and control weaknesses.

  • Define business requirements for remediation and control enhancement activities.

  • Support the implementation of improved governance, traceability, and control frameworks.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on reporting issues and regulatory findings.

  • Review manual adjustments and identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.

  • Partner with business, technology, and regulatory reporting stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions.

  • Support regulatory remediation activities and strengthen reporting integrity across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within regulatory reporting change programmes.

  • Strong expertise in either COREP or FINREP reporting.

  • Deep understanding of regulatory reporting data flows, controls, and governance.

  • Experience analysing data lineage, traceability, and reporting processes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage across Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.

  • Experience supporting regulatory remediation, data quality, or control enhancement initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities.

COREP & FINREP Workstreams

Both COREP and FINREP workstreams will include detailed analysis of regulator-identified Key Data Elements, requiring:

  • Mapping of data flows and reporting logic.

  • Validation of data sourcing and ownership.

  • Assessment of control effectiveness.

  • Documentation of regulatory interpretations and reporting methodologies.

  • Development of remediation requirements to address regulatory findings.

  • Enhancement of data lineage, traceability, and governance controls.
