Business Analyst
Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy and Operations, the Business Analyst carries out business analysis, operational insights, performance reporting, process improvement recommendations and project support. The position evaluates business processes, analyzes operational and financial data, develops performance metrics, and supports the successful implementation of strategic initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, member experience and financial performance. This role aligns closely with CUA’s strategic priorities of business growth, operational efficiency, service excellence and innovation.

As the successful candidate, you have proven analytical capabilities, with the ability to gather, evaluate and interpret complex information and translate findings into actionable recommendations. You have effective problem-solving skills, and can identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical and logical solutions. Your exceptional organizational skills are evident in the way you prioritize, manage time, efficiently complete tasks and meet all deadlines. You have a strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting, dashboard development and performance measurement, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and other reporting and analytical tools. Feedback on your written, verbal and presentation skills reflect an effective communicator with diverse audiences.
Education / Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years of experience in business analysis, operational analysis, project management support or business intelligence; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience within a financial institution or other regulated environment is considered an asset.
