This is a contract remote role for a Business Analyst/Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma industry. The role involves analytical skills, business analysis, communication, business process, and business requirements management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in business analysis, data engineering, or related roles within the life sciences industry.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, MicroStrategy, and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of life sciences business units, such as internal medicine, oncology, and hospital settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain data dictionaries to ensure data consistency and usability across teams.
• Document business requirements through stakeholder discussions and meetings.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for data integration with Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data architects to optimize data models and database performance.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy to provide insights for stakeholders.
• Analyze large datasets, including LAAD, ELAAD, formulary, prescription, call, and activity data, to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including ETL, front-end reporting, and business leaders, to understand data needs and develop solutions.
• Support communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency, fostering innovation.
• Address data quality issues and contribute to data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with standards.
• Write industry articles and stay updated on standards and best practices, contributing to knowledge sharing.
