About the opportunity
Our client, a large financial services organisation, is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Data & Analytics team on a contract running until the end of the year, with an immediate start and potential to extend.
The team is moving from manual operational and SLA reporting to automated reporting. The work is in its later stages, so the focus is on refining requirements, investigating data issues, validating outputs and supporting the solution through go-live and ongoing improvement.

What you will be doing:
  • Capturing and refining reporting requirements, business rules and calculation logic with operational stakeholders
  • Investigating differences between existing reports and new automated outputs, and finding the root cause
  • Supporting testing and validation of reporting outputs, including data analysis and defect triage
  • Maintaining reporting documentation and definitions so they stay accurate and consistent
  • Supporting go-live, post-implementation activities and ongoing enhancements
About you:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data, reporting or transformation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements skills, and confidence working with both business and technical teams
  • A strong analytical mindset. You enjoy working out why the numbers don’t match.
  • Working SQL skills and comfort analysing data
  • Experience supporting UAT or business validation testing
Highly regarded:
  • Experience with SLA, KPI or operational performance reporting
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, or to workflow platforms such as Pega
  • Experience in superannuation, banking or insurance
