Business Analyst
Summary
Business Analyst to analyze financial software requirements, document legacy systems, and bridge customer needs with development teams for trading and capital markets products.
We are looking for a Business Analyst (Software Requirements Analyst) to help us make better products for our customers. As a Business Analyst, you will be working in a team of professionals with huge experience in creating financial software products.
You will be working with financial technologies, sophisticated margining algorithms and trading monitoring tools.
We expect the Business Analyst to:
- Analyze customers’ business processes and operations at all project stages,
- Analyze and document legacy systems and existing functionality,
- Elicit customers' needs through stakeholder interviews and workshops, and propose solutions.
- Develop functional and non-functional requirements for software products,
- Create various types of specifications for the product: Functional Specifications, User Stories, SRS, Solution Design, etc.,
- Clarify requirements for the design, development, QA and support teams,
- Participate in solution validation and provide feedback to the development team,
- Demonstrate solutions to the customer and gather feedback,
- Explore competitor products and understand trends in the trading industry,
- Help make communication across distributed teams clear and efficient,
- Be available for occasional business trips.
Must-have skills:
- Experience in a similar position (Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, System Analyst, Product Owner etc.) in software development projects of at least 6 years,
- Hands-on experience in brokerage, capital markets, mutual funds, exchange-based trading, or other trading-related financial products,
- Experience analyzing legacy systems and documenting business processes,
- Experience writing functional specifications,
- Experience with SQL for data analysis,
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving,
- Oracle PL/SQL or APEX experience,
- Good understanding of software requirements management and traceability practices,
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum),
- Excellent communication skills,
- University degree,
- Fluent English.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Knowledge of UML diagramming notations and tools,
- Understanding of APIs, integrations and microservice architecture,
- Experience working with international teams and customers,
- Certification in Business Analysis.
