Business Analyst – Digital Transformation

$140,000 inclusive of superannuation | 12-month fixed-term contract

An established national organisation is strengthening its technology delivery capability and is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a growing portfolio delivery team.

This is an opportunity for a confident, hands-on BA who is comfortable working across business applications, systems, integrations, data, digital initiatives, governance and process improvement.

You will work closely with business leaders, project managers and technical specialists across several concurrent initiatives, helping turn complex business needs into clear requirements and practical delivery outcomes.

The environment is fast-moving and evolving, so we are looking for someone who can communicate exceptionally well, build credibility quickly and bring structure to ambiguity without overcomplicating the process.

The opportunity

You will work across a varied portfolio of technology and business change initiatives rather than being limited to a single project or system.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions.

• Translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

• Developing process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.

• Analysing current-state processes and designing practical future-state improvements.

• Working across business applications, integrations, data and technology-enabled change.

• Identifying risks, dependencies, constraints and impacts across initiatives.

• Maintaining requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Supporting solution clarification, testing, defect resolution and user acceptance.

• Working closely with project managers, technical teams and business stakeholders to keep delivery moving.

• Supporting implementation, transition, adoption and operational handover.

• Helping improve BA practices, templates and delivery standards across the broader portfolio.

What we are looking for

You will be an experienced Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst with a strong technology delivery background and the confidence to work independently across different business areas.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Strong experience delivering business analysis across technology, applications or digital transformation initiatives.

• Excellent requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation capability.

• Strong process analysis and process-mapping experience.

• A practical understanding of business systems, applications, integrations and data flows.

• Experience working through the full project lifecycle from discovery and requirements through testing and implementation.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives or workstreams simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement capability.

• The ability to communicate confidently with both senior business stakeholders and technical specialists.

• Sound judgement and the ability to challenge, clarify and ask the right questions.

• The ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities and requirements may continue to evolve.

Experience across areas such as enterprise applications, data, AI, cyber security, corporate systems, finance, HR or governance would be highly regarded.

Location and eligibility

The role is based in Sydney CBD. A hybrid working model applies, with approximately three days per week on site.

Australian citizenship is mandatory, and applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.

Remuneration

The salary package for this position is $140,000 inclusive of superannuation.
