Short-term consultancy Business Analyst role consolidating existing analyses and facilitating workshops to develop a value proposition for the global rollout of an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) in a life sciences environment.

emagine is seeking an experienced consultant is sought to assess and articulate the potential business value associated with a global rollout of a selected Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) solution.

Over the past several years, analyses have been conducted across the ELN user landscape, leading to documentation of user needs, business challenges, current-state gaps, and improvement opportunities. Insights from the commercial ELN vendor selection process and proof-of-concept activities in the US have generated significant supporting materials.

The objective of this assignment is to consolidate, analyse, and structure existing information to develop a clear value proposition for a global ELN deployment.

The organization currently operates five ELN solutions globally and is rolling out a commercial ELN solution at a single site, identified as a candidate for potential global deployment.

This consultancy assignment focuses on assessing and describing the potential value that can be realised from this global rollout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Consolidating existing analyses and documentation.

  • Conducting focused workshops with line-of-business experts to validate findings.

  • Drafting a concise report and presentation that documents expected business outcomes and operational impacts.

  • Identifying potential value enabled by operational impacts.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in business value assessments, value case development, or business case creation.

  • Ability to analyse and synthesise large volumes of information from multiple sources.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Experience within life sciences, research and development, digital laboratory environments, or scientific data management.

  • Ability to work independently and lead a structured assessment from initiation through delivery.
