A techno-functional Business Analyst in Bengaluru who works within an agile product development center, analyzing national and international banking regulations (e.g., Basel III/IV) and translating them into functional specifications, SQL-based implementations, and UAT/regression test scenarios for a regulatory reporting product.

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the agile development cycle for a product development center. This techno-functional role involves analyzing international banking regulations and translating them into software solutions and functional specifications.
Main Responsibilities
Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from national and international banking authorities.
Translate regulations into functional specifications including Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, and Business/Validation rules.
Perform functional implementations using SQL.
Create and validate functional scenarios & test data, conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and perform regression testing.
Develop a clear understanding of product roadmaps through interaction with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts.
Maintain detailed end-user documentation and internal technical-functional guides.
Provide support for customer projects and resolve functional tickets.
Collaborate with national and international colleagues at all levels and skills within the organization.
Key Requirements
Primary key skills - Regulatory Reporting, Basel III / Basel IV, PD, LGD & EAD, SQL, Banking Domain Experience.
3+ years’ experience in a Bank, Financial Institution, or IT firm within the banking domain.
Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics or Charted Accountants/ICWA preferred.
Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with XML, XBRL, JSON, and MS Excel/Access.
Basic understanding of Banking Products, Financial Instruments, and Financial Markets.
Fair understanding of Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and basic accounting concepts.
Knowledge of Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, and Basel accords.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Hands-on experience working within Agile project environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
