We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and product-minded Business Analyst who can go beyond gathering requirements to actively research industry practices, identify business needs, recommend solutions, and drive the development of innovative software products.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Solution Development
Research industry best practices, standard business processes, and existing software solutions to identify business requirements and improvement opportunities.
Engage with customers to understand their business challenges, workflows, and objectives.
Proactively identify, propose, and drive software requirements instead of relying solely on customer-provided specifications.
Recommend practical solutions, functional improvements, and business process automation opportunities.
Challenge unclear or incomplete requirements and guide customers towards effective solutions.
2. Requirements & Functional Design
Lead requirements gathering sessions, customer discussions, and functional workshops.
Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Design business process flows, system workflows, wireframes, and functional specifications.
Identify business rules, approval workflows, exception scenarios, reporting needs, and system integration requirements.
Work closely with software developers, designers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
3. Customer Expectation & Change Management
Manage customer expectations by clearly communicating solution capabilities, functional scope, limitations, and dependencies.
Facilitate functional walkthroughs and obtain customer alignment on proposed solutions and requirements.
Evaluate change requests, identify scope changes, and analyse their impact on functionality and business processes.
Collaborate with Project Managers and development teams to assess changes affecting implementation effort, timelines, and costs.
Maintain proper documentation, communication, and approval of requirement changes to minimise scope creep and unnecessary rework.
4. Functional Ownership & Project Delivery
Take ownership of functional requirements from initial discovery through development, testing, and implementation.
Proactively clarify requirements, resolve functional issues, and identify potential gaps before they affect delivery.
Review developed features to ensure they meet agreed business requirements and expected outcomes.
Support functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), user training, and system go-live activities.
Collaborate closely with customers and project teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
5. SaaS Product Development & AI Adoption
Contribute to enterprise software and SaaS product development by researching market needs, competitor solutions, and product improvement opportunities.
Recommend reusable, configurable, and scalable software features that can serve multiple customers.
Actively embrace AI tools in daily work to accelerate research, business analysis, documentation, process design, and problem-solving.
Continuously explore new AI tools and working methods to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.
Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs and follow appropriate data security and confidentiality practices.
Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and intelligent automation into customer solutions and business processes.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferably 3 years or more of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Functional Consultant, Product Analyst, or similar role.
Experience in enterprise software development, system implementation, or business process improvement projects.
Strong ability to independently research industry practices, analyse business needs, and proactively recommend software solutions.
Experience preparing BRD, FRS, user stories, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.
Good understanding of software development processes, business workflows, and system integration concepts.
Ability to confidently engage customers, manage functional expectations, and handle requirement changes.
Comfortable working in an AI-driven environment, with practical experience using AI tools to improve daily work productivity.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of taking ownership with minimal supervision.
Added Advantages
Experience in SaaS software product development, particularly enterprise or multi-customer applications.
Experience working in a software product company or contributing to product feature design and roadmaps.
Knowledge of ERP, CRM, HRMS, Finance, Procurement, or other enterprise software solutions.
Familiarity with Agentic AI, AI Agents, workflow automation, or digital transformation.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Draw.io, Visio, or similar platforms.
Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and system integration.
