Location: Sao PaoloArea: Corporate & Investment Banking / Global Markets/FXAbout the Role At Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB), we are committed to building innovative, reliable, and customer-centric solutions that support our global markets business. We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in FX Markets to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of key initiatives across pricing, trading, eFX, and post-trade workflows. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of FX products, and experience defining functional and API requirements in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.What You Will Be Doing As a Business Analyst in the FX Technology & Change team, your responsibilities will include: Requirements & Functional Analysis

  • Collect and document business requirements across FX trading, pricing, liquidity, and market connectivity.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define and maintain API specifications (data models, message structures, integration logic).
  • Map end-to-end processes and identify improvement opportunities aligned with Santander's digital transformation strategy.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Product Owners, Architecture, and Technology teams.
  • Contribute to test planning, clarify requirements for QA teams, and support UAT activities.
  • Collaborate effectively across a global organization, ensuring alignment with SCIB standards and governance.

Documentation & Tools

  • Produce high-quality documentation using Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability and auditability.
  • Apply AI tools to streamline analysis, documentation, and communication tasks.
  • Maintain clear and concise functional artefacts consistent with Santander's internal guidelines.


What We Are Looking For Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in FX Markets (spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs, or eFX).
  • Proven experience defining API requirements and working with integration teams.
  • Medium-level proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and structured manner.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electronic trading platforms, market connectivity, or algo trading.
  • Experience using AI-based productivity tools in daily workflows (ChatGPT, Rovo)
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting FX (e.g., MiFID II).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery models within financial services.
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python for data validation is a plus.
