Business Analyst - Guidewire PolicyCenter

Salary: NZD 140 - 150 per hour

Deliverables / Purpose
This role will support a significant Property & Casualty insurance transformation, with a focus on Guidewire PolicyCenter.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, underwriters, product owners, architects and delivery teams to understand what’s needed, shape clear requirements, and help translate business needs into workable solutions.

The work will cover PolicyCenter functionality across new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, rating and pricing. There are a few moving parts, so this will suit someone who is comfortable asking good questions, keeping stakeholders aligned, and bringing structure to complex work.

The skills and experience we need you to bring

• Strong Business Analyst experience across technology or transformation projects
• 3+ years’ hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter project experience
• Good understanding of Property & Casualty insurance, ideally across Commercial and Personal Lines
• Experience producing BRDs, functional requirements, user stories, use cases and process documentation
• Confident with gap analysis, process mapping and stakeholder management
• Experience supporting SIT and UAT cycles, including defect triage and resolution
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps or Visio

Nice to have:

• Guidewire ACE Certification in PolicyCenter
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, SAFe or Scrum certification
• Exposure to BillingCenter, ClaimCenter or Guidewire Cloud Platform
• Experience with upgrades, migrations or third-party integrations
