Business Analyst

Working closely with the People and Capability team, payroll specialists, system users, and other internal stakeholders, you'll be responsible for uncovering and documenting current-state people and payroll workflows, process points, and supporting guidance material. Your work will help create a clearer and more consistent operating environment while ensuring valuable organisational knowledge is captured and retained.
About the Role
- Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand and document current people and payroll processes.
- Map workflows, system interactions, touchpoints, dependencies, and process exceptions.
- Develop process maps, procedures, guidance documents, and supporting operational documentation.
- Identify process gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the move from transition arrangements to clear, well-documented, and sustainable business processes.
- Ensure documentation is practical, user-friendly, and fit for ongoing operational use.
- Experience as a Business Analyst, or Process Analyst, in a similar role involving process discovery, mapping, documentation, and improvement.
- Confidence working with subject matter experts to draw out information, clarify assumptions, and test understanding.
- Strong ability to translate making things plain English, adaptable for a range of audiences, and practical maps
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills – including ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
