About This OpportunityWe are seeking a Business Analyst II. In this role you will be a key member of the Customer Engagement team, which encompasses the company’s business development and sales functions. The Business Analyst II plays an integral role in Cascade’s proposal process to win new work and analyze sales and revenue data. The Business Analyst II uses data to tell stories and translate business questions and requirements into insights, tools, and reporting in order to inform our decision-making and strategies. The Business Analyst II also guides the sales team’s usage of Cascade’s CRM, including data completeness involved in revenue reporting. They provide insights that help Cascade’s Leadership Team decide which business opportunities to pursue, the cost of our services, and how we demonstrate the value we offer our customers.

Proposal Pricing/Savings Forecasting: Work collaboratively with proposal teams to develop proposal budgets, pricing strategies, and program savings forecasting from development to interviewing to negotiation to handoff. Follow the Proposal Pricing Checklist to ensure proposals are priced accurately, internal teams are informed, and processes are followed.
Tool Development: Own, maintain, and enhance existing tools used to generate standard proposal budgets. Collaborate with F&A and other stakeholders to create new tools that automate/streamline the proposal process and train others to use them.
Revenue & Sales Pipeline: Maintain, enhance, and develop reporting and analysis that provide insight into Cascade's sales performance using tools such as Excel, Pipedrive, Ajera, Power BI, and Power Query. Act as a backup for revenue reporting with the possibility of future process ownership.
Develop AI tools: Become an owner of AI-based workflows and tools that assist you and your team’s ability to price work and complete proposals.
Customer Engagement Operations: Take on new projects, initiatives, and reports that support the team’s overall business development and sales performance. Learn new concepts and processes that can be applied to reporting and analysis of improvements.
Planning and hosting periodic pipeline reviews with the Sales team.
Consult with other Customer Engagement team members to optimize the CRM system’s data field completion and revenue information.
This is a full-time, exempt position, preferably located in Portland OR. We are also open to non-Portland candidates who reside near one of Cascade Energy’s offices with a willingness to travel occasionally.
QualificationsApplicants for this role are required to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or equivalent technical background.
4-6 years of experience in a relevant role, with a track record of escalating responsibility over time.
Experience with CRM systems or similar databases.
Expert experience with Excel and related experience in other analytical applications.
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
Experience in the energy or energy efficiency industry strongly preferred.
Experience being part of a business development and sales team.
Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
Experience utilizing AI and emerging technology to automate workflows, streamline analysis, and improve reporting processes.

Compensation & BenefitsThe full salary range for this full-time, exempt/non-exempt position in Portland OR is $74,000 - $110,880/year. At Cascade, transparency and fairness are core to how we work.
