- Serve as a Senior Business Analyst on a large-scale R&D data initiative for a global pharmaceutical company.
- Analyze and interpret raw data from laboratory instruments (e.g., plate readers, Raman spectrometers, cell counters).
- Bridge the gap between scientific data sources and business/data consumers, translating complex outputs into actionable business insights.
- Gather and document business requirements from scientists, lab operations, and data engineering teams.
- Create and maintain documentation for data mapping, business rules, transformation logic, and data lineage.
- Collaborate closely with data architects, engineers, and scientific experts to ensure accurate business context in data models.
- Identify and address data quality issues, inconsistencies, or gaps in instrument data.
- Develop process flows, data dictionaries, and business glossaries for instrument and equipment data domains.
- Translate scientific outputs into clear business requirements and user stories for technical teams, using Azure DevOps.
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders (scientists, informatics, data governance, IT) to ensure alignment on data usage and business outcomes.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of data mappings and business rules with real instrument data.
- Leverage experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical R&D, data mapping, and requirements documentation.
- Utilize strong stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise between technical and business teams.
- Apply knowledge of pharma R&D processes and Agile methodologies (with hands-on Azure DevOps experience) to support project delivery.
