Business Analyst Intern, Strategic Supply Planning (All Genders)

Role Purpose

As a Business Analyst Intern within Strategic Supply Planning, you will support the analytical foundation of our supply planning processes, helping us turn complex data into reliable forecasts, planning insights and better commercial decisions. Working closely with the Business Analyst and Strategic Supply Planning team, you will contribute to forecasting and modelling, performance analysis and the continuous improvement of our planning approaches. You will combine hands-on analytical work with a strong understanding of the underlying business questions, supporting decisions across intake, inventory and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of supply forecasting and planning models, improving forecasting accuracy and performance visibility across different levels of the business
  • Work hands-on with SQL and Python to analyse data, run forecasting processes and troubleshoot data or model-related issues.
  • Build and enhance Power BI dashboards to make planning outputs accessible, track forecast performance and support commercial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Supply Planners to translate business requirements and qualitative feedback into effective analytical solutions.
  • Perform exploratory and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends, validate assumptions and answer business-critical questions.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of planning-related data structures to ensure reliable and consistent analytical outputs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing automation and simplification of recurring supply planning processes.

Qualifications

You are curious about how data and technology can solve real commercial problems and are looking to build your career at the intersection of analytics and business

  • Currently pursuing or in final year of a degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. Previous professional experience in data analytics is a plus.
  • Proficient SQL skills and practical experience using SQL to work with and analyse data.
  • Working knowledge of Python and an interest in further developing your skills in data analysis, modelling and automation.
  • Highly analytical and structured mindset, with the ability to break down and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Interest in forecasting, planning and commercial decision-making, previous exposure to retail or e-commerce is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, curious and hands-on approach, with an eagerness to learn and take ownership.
  • Proficient in English in both oral and written form.
