Business Analyst, IT
IT Business Analyst - 12 months contract
We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to work closely with business and technology teams to deliver system enhancements and technology solutions within a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
Translate business requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories and acceptance criteria.
Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, engineers and architects.
Analyse existing workflows and recommend process and system improvements.
Facilitate requirement gathering, solutioning and design discussions with business and technology teams.
Support Agile/Scrum delivery, including backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and user story refinement.
Work with development teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are correctly implemented.
Define test scenarios and support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Coordinate UAT sign-off and readiness for production deployment.
Identify and escalate project risks, issues and dependencies.
Prepare process flows, system documentation and other project artefacts.
Use data and analysis to support business decisions and recommendations.
Requirements
At least 3 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within insurance, banking or financial services.
Strong experience in business requirements gathering, functional analysis and process/workflow design.
Experience writing Epics, Features, User Stories and acceptance criteria.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and software development methodologies.
Experience supporting UAT, testing and technology implementations.
Comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with enterprise applications, system integrations and system/data flows.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience within the insurance industry would be highly advantageous.
