About the role:
The role demands here that the candidate should have working experience as a Business Analyst and into the life insurance domain with a specification on the Life Asia tool. Along with this, stakeholder management, client interaction, and leadership qualities are an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements through workshops, interviews and discussions with stakeholders across business, technology and operations.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and supporting artefacts such as functional specifications, process flows and use case
- Must have hands on experience in Life Asia application ( day 1 & day 2)
• Work on implementations and enhancements of business applications, from initial setup through to ongoing operations and post-implementation support.
• Analyse existing business processes, identify gaps and recommend solutions aligned to business objectives and system capabilities.
• Manage stakeholders at all levels, set clear expectations, resolve conflicts and keep requirements aligned through change and prioritisation.
• Work closely with the testing team to review test scenarios and test cases, clarify requirements, support defect triage and participate in UAT.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through to design, testing and delivery.
• Support delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, including change requests, impact analysis and release readiness.
• Track industry trends, regulatory changes and product developments to inform solutions and recommendations.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Proven hands-on experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in preparing BRDs and other requirement documentation.
• Demonstrated ability in requirement gathering, elicitation and analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging business and senior stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with testing teams, including supporting test design, defect resolution and UAT.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advantage: experience in software testing or quality engineering environments, or exposure to Agile delivery and tools such as JIRA, Confluence or Vision .
