Business Analyst
Summary
Business Analyst gathers and documents requirements, maps processes, and bridges business needs with technical teams in an Agile environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
We are looking for a Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions within a complex digital transformation programme. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and external vendors to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring successful solution design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, including user stories, personas, and acceptance criteria.
Map and analyze business processes (BPMN) to identify opportunities for optimization and system improvements.
Perform fit-gap analysis of COTS/SaaS solutions, identifying configuration needs and integration requirements.
Define interface specifications and data mappings between applications and upstream/downstream systems.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and technical teams in an Agile environment, managing requirements through Jira and Confluence.
Maintain requirements traceability, manage change requests, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Work closely with business users, technical teams, and external partners to ensure successful solution adoption.
Support API discussions by understanding REST APIs, JSON structures, and data schemas to facilitate communication between business and development teams.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile software delivery projects.
Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and business process modelling (BPMN).
Experience performing fit-gap analysis for commercial (COTS/SaaS) solutions.
Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience with legacy system migration or large-scale system modernization projects.
Experience working with laboratory, scientific, or highly regulated environments.
