A senior BA acts as SME for Finastra LoanIQ (v7+), owning business analysis across the commercial loan lifecycle (deal setup, servicing, accruals, payments), writing epics/stories in Jira/Confluence, mapping REST/SOAP integrations, and coordinating SIT/UAT, while using generative AI/LLM tools for documentation and automation.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced LoanIQ Business Analyst with expertise in syndicated lending, data models, and the integration of AI tools to maximize operational efficiency. You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Finastra LoanIQ (v7+) while driving modern, AI-assisted business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation frameworks.
Job Responsibilities
Core LoanIQ & Business Analysis:
- Lending SME: Own end-to-end business analysis for commercial loan lifecycles, including deal setup, servicing, agency deals, accruals, payments, and repayments.
- Requirements & Design: Translate complex business rules and accounting standards into functional specifications, epics, and user stories within Agile frameworks (Jira/Confluence).
- Integration Workflows: Map integration designs and data flows between LoanIQ and upstream/downstream enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Testing & Validation: Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), oversee defect triage, and validate business outcomes.
- AI-Driven Workflows: Leverage generative AI and LLM tools responsibly to generate comprehensive functional documentation, user stories, and process models.
- Product Enhancement: Identify and evaluate opportunities to embed AI-driven automation, reporting, and smart features into commercial lending products.
- Quality & Governance: Apply AI tools securely to enhance reporting and stakeholder communication while maintaining corporate governance, data privacy, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 6–10+ years of Business Analysis experience within corporate banking or financial services.
- Platform Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in Finastra LoanIQ (version 7+) application architecture, data models, and syndicate lending operations. Experience with API integrations, SQL queries, data analysis, testing, and system interfaces.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of commercial loan accounting terminology, accruals, and transaction lifecycles.
- AI Competency: Practical experience leveraging AI/LLM tools in daily BA workflows (prompt engineering, automated documentation, test scenario generation, or data synthesis).
- Methodologies: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, presentation skills, and the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
