BUSINESS ANALYST
Salary: RM 8,000 – RM 9,000 per month
About the role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our dynamic Information and Communication Technology operations in Kuala Lumpur. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technology solutions, ensuring that our systems and processes deliver maximum value to the organisation. You will be responsible for analysing business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the company.
Key responsibilities
Gather, document and analyse business requirements from stakeholders and end-users to understand organisational needs and objectives
Conduct thorough business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
Develop detailed functional specifications and requirements documentation for systems development and implementation
Collaborate with technical teams, project managers and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions
Design and propose business solutions that align with organisational strategy and deliver measurable business value
Perform data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and identify trends and patterns in business operations
Test and validate system implementations to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes
Provide ongoing support and training to end-users during system transitions and implementations
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, recommending enhancements as needed
Maintain detailed documentation of business processes, requirements and system configurations for future reference
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
2-5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the ICT sector
Strong understanding of business process analysis, systems design and software development lifecycle methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business challenges into actionable solutions
Proficiency in requirements documentation, use case development and creating detailed functional specifications
Experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio or similar applications
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers and business stakeholders
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with data analysis and SQL is advantageous
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in business analysis and systems implementation
Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or IIBA certification are desirable but not essential
