Project description
Our client (one of the largest investment banks in Southeast Asia) is entering the Prime brokerage service offering area. Primary objective is to build a robust platform from ground up to support the business needs of the prime brokering business domain.
Responsibilities
- Support business capabilities across Prime Brokerage, including:
- Cash and synthetic Prime Brokerage
- Equity financing and margin lending
- Securities lending and borrowing
- Short-selling and stock borrow/loan workflows
- Collateral management and optimization
- Margin calculations, margin calls, and financing charges
- Trade capture, allocation, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
- Corporate actions and their impact on client positions
- Client reporting, portfolio valuation, and P&L
- Understand the interaction between Prime Brokerage, Equity Trading, Delta One, Risk, Treasury, and Operations.
- Analyze end-to-end trade and position lifecycles, including exception management and downstream processing.
SKILLS
Must have
- 7–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within investment banking, capital markets, or financial services.
- Strong functional knowledge of Prime Brokerage, Equity Financing, Securities Lending, or related Prime Services businesses.
- Good understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle for cash equities and equity-linked products.
- Experience with margin, collateral, financing, positions, settlements, or stock lending workflows.
- Proven experience delivering complex technology initiatives in an investment banking environment.
- Strong requirements-gathering, process-modelling, and functional-documentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to have
• Knowledge of Python or data analytics tools would be advantageous.
