Business Analyst

BUSINESS ANALYST

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements.

- Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.

- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows.

- Translate business requirements into clear specifications for development and implementation teams.

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA engineers, project managers, and business teams.

- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and improvement.

- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and root-cause analysis to support business decisions.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and requirement prioritisation, where applicable.

- Support solution design, functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution.

- Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Prepare reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support decision-making.

- Manage stakeholder communication, requirement changes, dependencies, and project documentation.

- Support implementation, deployment, and post-production enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, or a related role.

- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder management, and process mapping.

- Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

- Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams.

- Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and software development processes.

- Experience with UAT, test scenarios, defect tracking, and solution validation.

- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, Visio, or equivalent platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in digital transformation, enterprise applications, SaaS products, or technology implementation projects.

- Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting tools, or BI platforms.

- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, workflow automation, or data flows.

- Experience with process modelling, BPMN, or other business process documentation techniques.

- Domain experience in BFSI, IT, consulting, e-commerce, healthcare, or other relevant industries.

- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or Management.
