Business Analyst

We are looking for Business Analyst for Retail company based at Angola, Africa.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze sales, gross margin, inventory, procurement and store performance; flag trends and exceptions.
• Build and automate daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Extract and validate data from ERP and POS systems using SQL.
• Reconcile data across POS, ERP and reports; resolve discrepancies.
• Document KPI definitions and report logic; support user testing.

Key Skills

• Excel (advanced): Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query, Power Pivot.
• Power BI: dashboards, data modelling (star schema), Power Query, basic DAX (CALCULATE, YTD/MTD).
• SQL: joins, GROUP BY, CTEs, basic window functions.
• Retail analytics: LFL sales, basket, sell-through, stock cover, shrinkage, markdown, margin.
• ERP/POS data: SKU master, pricing, purchase orders, goods receipts, stock movements.
• Data quality: validation, reconciliation, MIS automation, problem-solving.

Experience

• At least 5 years in organized retail, supermarkets, hypermarkets or FMCG retail, in operational reporting and business performance analysis.
