Business Analyst - SAP
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst (Product Advisor) to join a cross-functional team supporting trading business operations and enterprise systems. This role will work closely with business users and IT teams to optimize processes, enhance system capabilities, and deliver business value through effective use of systems and data.
Key responsibilities
Act as the key contact point for business users regarding SAP ETRM and trading-related system support.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for system enhancements, projects, and upgrades across Asia Pacific and Europe.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
Support testing activities, including system upgrades, new releases, and enhancement initiatives.
Proactively identify opportunities to simplify, automate, standardize, and improve business processes.
Monitor upcoming business and system changes and ensure effective implementation.
Deliver user training, provide knowledge sharing, and mentor team members when required.
Troubleshoot and resolve system and process-related issues in a timely manner.
About you
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields.
4-6 years of experience in SAP, business systems, technical support, or business analysis roles.
Strong understanding of SAP ETRM, commodity trading systems, or trading business processes.
Solid knowledge of the trade lifecycle, including: Deal Entry, Position Reporting, Exposure Management, Mark-to-Market (MTM), P&L Reporting, Accounting, Logistics, Settlement, Valuation & Operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
