Summary
Business Analyst bridging stakeholders and technical teams on IT projects, translating business needs into functional specs like UML/BPMN and managing requirements through the project lifecycle.
Businessanalysts in IT projects act as bridges between stakeholders and technicalteams, ensuring solutions align with business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Elicit and document business requirements throughstakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing specifications.
• Translate business needs into functional andnon-functional specifications, user stories, or models like UML/BPMN fordevelopers.
• Support solution design, testing (including UAT),and implementation by validating requirements against predefined scope.
• Manage changes to requirements throughout theproject lifecycle, rigorously evaluating impacts on tender specificationsbefore approval.
• Manage stakeholders actively to alignexpectations, specify requirements within the solution platform's capabilities,communicate progress, and prevent deviations from the tender-defined scope,minimizing scope creep.
Requirements:
• Must possess strong communication skills,proficient in written and spoken English.
• Must have experience in requirements engineeringfor Enterprise Bespoke System or similar.
• Must have more than 3 years of experience as aBusiness Analyst in IT/software projects, including requirement gathering andstakeholder management.
• Preferred: IIBA certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP,or PMI-PBA).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in businessadministration, computer science, IT or related field.
• Preferred: Advanced degree such as MBA or MS inbusiness analytics.
• Preferred: Entry-level Project Managementcertification.
• Preferred: Working experience in Government ofSingapore projects.
• Preferred: Experience with data visualizationtools (Power BI, Tableau) and scripting (Python/R).
• Preferred: Proficiency in technical skills likeSQL, Excel, BPMN/UML modelling, and SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
