About the role
We are seeking a talented Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst/Banking Project Management professional to join our dynamic team in Central and Western District. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing complex business requirements, managing banking projects, and ensuring seamless delivery of technology solutions that drive organisational success. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels to translate business needs into actionable project plans and technical specifications.
Business Analyst
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify requirements, constraints and opportunities across banking and financial services projects
Develop detailed project plans, timelines and resource allocation strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage stakeholder engagement and communication throughout project lifecycle, ensuring alignment and transparency
Document functional and non-functional requirements, creating clear specifications for development teams
Lead cross-functional teams through project phases, from initiation through completion and post-implementation review
Monitor project progress against established metrics, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with business users and technical teams
Provide strategic recommendations on process improvements and technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards and organisational governance frameworks
Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or in Banking Project Management roles
Proven expertise in banking sector projects, particularly in financial systems, payments or core banking solutions
Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements and industry best practices
Advanced project management skills with proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid approaches
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities across all organisational levels
Demonstrated capability in requirements analysis, documentation and gap analysis
Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio or similar platforms)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Experience with system implementation and integration projects
Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar are highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in matrix organisations
