Summary
Business Analyst (SFIA4/SFIA5) engaged in investigating complex business situations, root cause analysis, and stakeholder collaboration for a federal government department handling immigration and border security. No specific technologies listed; role is purely analytical.
Salary: $135 - $175ph (inc-Super) - weekly pay options
- 12 + 12 + 12 month contract
- Must have TSPV Security Clearance
- SFIA 4 & SFIA 5 positions available
- Onsite Canberra only
Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for immigration, citizenship, border security, national security, cyber policy and social cohesion, require the services of multiple Business Analysts.
Duties of the Business Analyst (SFIA 4)
- Investigates business situations where there is some complexity & ambiguity;
- Adopts holistic view to identify & analyse problems and opportunities;
- Contributes to the selection of the approach & techniques to be used for business situation analysis;
- Conducts root cause analysis & identifies recommendations for improvements;
- Engages & collaborates with operational stakeholders.
Duties of the Business Analyst (SFIA 5)
- Plans, manages & investigates business situation analysis where there is significant ambiguity & complexity;
- Advises on the approach & techniques to be used for business situation analysis.
- Ensures holistic view adopted to identify & analyse wide-ranging problems & opportunities;
- Engages & collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at the management level;
- Gains agreement from stakeholders to conclusions & recommendations;
- Contributes to definition of organisational standards & guidelines for business situation analysis.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years (L0R4) / 5 years (L0R5) Business Analyst experience;
Desirable Qualifications
- IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
- IIBA Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
