Business Analyst
Summary
A data-focused Business Analyst who designs and builds business reporting and insights for internal teams and clients, administers reporting/automation platforms (Tray.io, Power BI, ConnectWise BrightGauge) and API/SFTP data pipelines, and leads requirements gathering across a multi-vendor ecosystem. Core stack: SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Azure DevOps.
We are open to candidates based in Auckland, Hamilton or Wellington.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll drive the development, operation, and support of our reporting requirements. You'll partner across the business to deliver quality insights, streamline platform workflows, and keep our systems running smoothly.
Reporting & Analytics: Design and build strategically aligned business reporting. Communicate key insights to stakeholders across sales, finance, security, and compliance.
Platform Support & Administration: Administer Tray.io, Power BI workspaces, ConnectWise BrightGauge, and complex API/SFTP data pipelines to ensure seamless data exchange across multi-vendor systems.
Innovation & Problem-Solving: Continuously evaluate system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and discover new ways to deliver value to internal teams and clients.
Relationship & Process Management: Build strong relationships and partner effectively across multi-vendor ecosystems (internal teams, external partners, and clients) to lead requirements gathering and drive shared outcomes.
What You Will Bring
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience as an Analyst.
Tech Stack & Tools: Strong proficiency with SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, and process mapping tools (Lucid/Miro).
Documentation & Analysis: Proven track record in creating clear operational docs, mapping end-to-end data flows, conducting discovery workshops, and translating complex requirements into ADO user stories/ target output requirements
Drive & Curiosity: A self-starter attitude, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to manage competing demands.
Communication: Exceptional ability to distil complex technical or financial information so it is easy for anyone to digest.
