Business Analyst
Can you understand how systems, data and processes connect, then sit down with the people actually doing the job and make sense of how it all works in the real world?
What's in it for you
Rate: $110 per hour
Duration: 6-month contract
Availability: Immediate
Location: Auckland CBD
About the role
You'll work across a varied ecosystem of field service, asset management, service management and supporting applications. Your job is to understand how those systems interact, how data moves between them and how the technology supports the end-to-end operational process.
You're not starting from scratch. A good amount of the initial discovery and workshop activity has already been completed, giving you an existing body of work to pick up and drive forward.
From there, you'll work closely with technology leaders and operational stakeholders to develop requirements, map processes and system interactions, and produce clear documentation and SOPs.
The stakeholder piece is important. You'll need to be equally comfortable discussing systems and integrations with technical teams as you are sitting with frontline field crews, understanding how they actually complete their work and translating that into requirements the wider team can act on.
Skills & Experience
- Strong Business Analyst background across systems or technology projects
- Proven capability across system integrations, data flows and multiple interconnected applications
- Strong process mapping, requirements gathering and workshop facilitation skills
- Confident producing SOPs and clear business and technical documentation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, particularly with frontline and operational users
- Exposure to field services, telecommunications, utilities, infrastructure or other asset-heavy environments would be advantageous
About the company
You'll be joining a large, established New Zealand organisation delivering critical technology and infrastructure services nationwide.
It's a complex operational environment where technology needs to work just as effectively for teams in the field as it does for those in the office.
You'll join an experienced technology team, with plenty of existing knowledge to draw on and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on how technology supports teams in the field.
