Job Overview

We are looking for a Business Manager & HR Executive to oversee the day-to-day operations of our garment and apparel business in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for business operations, staff management, HR administration, customer coordination, garment inventory and warehouse operations.

This is a hands-on position. The candidate may be required to work at the office, garment warehouse, showroom or other company work locations depending on operational requirements.

The candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Management & Operations

* Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the garment business.

* Ensure smooth coordination between management, office staff, warehouse staff, customers and suppliers.

* Monitor sales orders, purchase orders and garment deliveries.

* Coordinate garment production, purchasing, stock availability and delivery schedules.

* Follow up with suppliers, manufacturers and customers on orders.

* Prepare quotations, invoices, sales documents and business reports.

* Monitor business expenses and operational costs.

* Assist management in developing business strategies and improving profitability.

* Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.

* Monitor customer requirements and ensure orders are completed on time.

* Handle operational issues and provide practical solutions.

* Prepare regular reports for management.

2. Human Resources Management

* Assist management with recruitment and selection of employees.

* Conduct interviews and coordinate employee onboarding.

* Prepare employment-related documentation.

* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

* Monitor staff attendance, leave and work schedules.

* Prepare and manage staff duty rosters.

* Coordinate manpower requirements between the office, warehouse and other business operations.

* Monitor employee performance and attendance.

* Address routine staff concerns and workplace issues.

* Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures and workplace requirements.

* Assist management with disciplinary and performance-related matters.

* Coordinate staff training and development.

* Assist with HR administration and relevant Singapore employment requirements.

3. Garment Warehouse Operations

The candidate may be required to work directly at the warehouse and assist in managing warehouse activities.

Responsibilities may include:

* Monitor incoming and outgoing garment stock.

* Maintain accurate inventory records.

* Coordinate receiving, checking, packing and dispatching of garments.

* Ensure garments are properly sorted by size, colour, design and quantity.

* Conduct regular stock checks and inventory counts.

* Investigate stock discrepancies and report them to management.

* Coordinate preparation of customer orders.

* Monitor warehouse cleanliness, organisation and safety.

* Coordinate with delivery personnel and logistics providers.

* Ensure goods are properly packed and ready for delivery.

* Assist with warehouse manpower planning.

* Monitor warehouse staff performance and productivity.

* Ensure proper handling and storage of garments.

The position is not limited to office duties. The successful candidate must be prepared to assist with hands-on warehouse operations when required.

4. Sales & Customer Management

* Handle enquiries from existing and potential customers.

* Prepare and follow up on garment quotations and orders.

* Maintain good relationships with customers.

* Understand customer requirements relating to garments, uniforms, quantities, sizes, colours and delivery schedules.

* Coordinate customer orders with suppliers and warehouse staff.

* Follow up on outstanding payments and orders where required.

* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.

* Support management in developing new customers and business accounts.

5. Supplier & Purchasing Coordination

* Communicate with garment manufacturers, suppliers and vendors.

* Request quotations and negotiate pricing where authorised.

* Monitor purchase orders and delivery schedules.

* Follow up on delayed or incomplete orders.

* Check received goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.

* Report defective, damaged or incorrect garments to management.

* Maintain supplier records and purchasing documentation.

6. Administrative Duties

* Manage business correspondence, emails and documents.

* Prepare reports, spreadsheets, quotations and invoices.

* Maintain proper filing systems.

* Monitor company records and documentation.

* Coordinate meetings, appointments and operational schedules.

* Assist management with general administrative duties.

* Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Working Days & Hours

The role is full-time and may involve flexible working arrangements depending on business and warehouse operations.

The successful candidate:

* May be required to work weekends.

* May be required to work on Singapore public holidays.

* Must be willing to work additional hours when operational requirements arise.

* May be required to work at the warehouse, office or other company locations.

* Must be flexible with working schedules during peak periods, large customer orders or urgent deliveries.

Requirements

* Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources, Operations, Fashion/Garment Management or a related field preferred.

* Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

* Experience in the garment, apparel, textile, retail, wholesale, trading or warehouse industry will be an advantage.

* Experience managing employees or HR-related responsibilities.

* Good understanding of business operations and administration.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Good written and spoken English.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and common business software.

* Good organisational and time-management skills.

* Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

* Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.

* Willing to take a hands-on approach to business and warehouse operations.

* Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.

* Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
