Business Applications Analyst

Summary

Develops, automates, and optimizes business processes using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SQL, building applications, reports, and integrations to improve operational efficiency.

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Business Applications & Data Analyst to develop, automate, and optimize business processes using Microsoft Power Platform and SQL technologies. The successful candidate will design business applications, automate workflows, develop reports and dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency through data-driven solutions.

What you're responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database views.
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using advanced DAX calculations.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Design data models that support efficient reporting and analytics.
  • Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely user support.
  • Document technical solutions, business processes, and user guides.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions follow security, governance, and best practices.

To join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing business solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong experience with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
  • Strong experience with Power Automate cloud flows.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
  • Experience writing advanced DAX measures and calculations in Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
  • Experience connecting Power Platform to SQL Server, SharePoint, Excel, and REST APIs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Knowledge of Power BI administration and workspace management.
  • Experience with Azure SQL or Azure Data Services.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate Desktop (RPA).
  • Experience with version control (Git or Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of Power Query (M language).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certifications are considered an asset.
