Business Architect

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to support the design and implementation of a major Enterprise Content Management (ECM) capability delivered on the OpenText platform.

This role covers business architecture, information management, operating model design and organisational adoption. You will take the lead in developing the Concept of Operations (ConOps) and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the future ECM capability aligns with organisational objectives, business practices, information architecture and end-user support models.

This is a strong opportunity for a Business Architect with experience in complex enterprise environments who can translate technology-led change into practical future-state operating models and adoption pathways.

• 12 month contract with potential extension

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development of the ECM Concept of Operations (ConOps).
• Facilitate operational modelling and define future-state business operations.
• Engage senior stakeholders and business representatives to establish alignment on future operating models, processes and ways of working.
• Develop practical adoption pathways supporting organisational transition and user acceptance.
• Identify opportunities to improve and optimise business practices while working within organisational constraints and governance frameworks.
• Provide specialist advice supporting Information Architecture (IA) design for an OpenText-based ECM environment.
• Support the transition toward a modern ECM architecture and operating model.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, architects and governance forums to progress information architecture objectives.
• Ensure architecture decisions align with business needs, compliance obligations and future-state capabilities.
• Contribute to Managed Service Design activities where required.
• Ensure alignment between the Concept of Operations, operational processes and end-user support models.

About you You will ideally bring experience across several of the following areas:

• Business Architecture within large or complex organisations.
• Development of Concept of Operations / ConOps documentation.
• Enterprise Content Management or information management transformation.
• OpenText ECM or similar enterprise content/document management platforms.
• Future-state operating model and operational process design.
• Information Architecture and information governance.
• Business process modelling and optimisation.
• Organisational change, adoption planning and transition design.
• Stakeholder facilitation across business, technology and governance groups.
• Service Design or Managed Service operating models.
• Working within regulated, government or similarly complex enterprise environments.
