Business Consultant (Sales – FX & Partnerships) - Wealth
Role Overview:
A relationship-led role managing and
growing a portfolio of Introducing Partners in the Western Cape wealth sector —
principally wealth managers and independent financial advisors (IFAs). You’ll
be their trusted cross-border FX partner, handling every referral seamlessly
from enquiry to executed trade, deepening existing relationships, and
selectively onboarding new ones.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of wealth-sector
Introducing Partners (wealth managers and IFAs) across the Western Cape
- Be the trusted FX point of contact for partners and, where
appropriate, their high-net-worth clients
- Deepen relationships to maximise the volume and quality of
cross-border referrals, and onboard selected new partners
- Guide partners and clients through onboarding, FICA / KYC, and
trade readiness
- Structure tailored FX solutions (international payments,
offshore transfers, spot and forward cover) in line with SARB exchange control
and SARS requirements
- Keep accurate CRM records and represent Currency Partners at
wealth-sector events
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential); relevant tertiary qualification
in Business, Finance, Investment, or Commerce (advantageous)
- RE5 and FAIS compliance (preferred — support provided for the
right candidate)
- 3–5 years’ B2B relationship or sales experience, ideally in
financial services or wealth management
- A track record of retaining and growing partner relationships
and meeting revenue targets
- Strong relationship-management and consultative-selling skills,
with sound commercial judgement
- High ethical standards and adherence to FSCA / FAIS and AML /
KYC (FICA) requirements
- Excellent communication and organisation, with genuine care for
partner and client outcomes
Advantageous:
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Existing network within the Western Cape wealth-management / IFA
community
- Understanding of SA exchange control (SARB, FinSurv) and
offshore investment allowances
- Prior exposure to FX products and wealth / private-client
environments
