Discussion

Are you excited to join an international trading business and help shape data-driven decisions across our global organisation? Famobra is looking for a Business Controller, who is motivated by turning data into valuable business insights and help shape the future of our business? This might be the right opportunity for you!

At Famobra, we combine the entrepreneurial spirit of an international FMCG trading business with the values of the Danish family-owned Fleggaard Group. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will work closely with colleagues across our offices in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Singapore.

You will support strategic and operational decision-making through insightful analyses and business recommendations while helping strengthen our reporting, analytical and financial capabilities. At the same time, you will contribute to selected business, data and systems projects and support the continued development of our reporting and BI environment.

We offer a commercially focused role with a high degree of ownership, short decision-making processes and close collaboration with key decisionmakers across the business. Furthermore, you will have strong opportunities for professional and personal development within both Famobra and the Fleggaard Group.

Your role
As part of our Finance Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Famobra and support the business with insights, analysis and decision support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse business performance to identify trends, opportunities, risks and key performance drivers
  • Prepare, maintain and continuously improve budgets, forecasts and financial projections
  • Develop reports and management presentations that support informed decision-making
  • Support commercial decision-making through customer, product, market and profitability analyses, including margins, working capital and cost development
  • Support relevant performance and cost-control initiatives and prepare analyses and documentation related to transfer pricing
  • Contribute to the development of our data warehouse, reporting and BI landscape, as well as the implementation of a new ERP system

Your profile
You have some years of relevant experience within business controlling, finance, business analysis, commercial finance, FP&A or a similar analytical finance role. Experience from an international trading, wholesale, retail or FMCG company is an advantage. Additionally, you:

  • Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent within finance, economics, data or business.
  • Have experience working with business intelligence, reporting and financial analysis
  • Are highly proficient in Excel and have hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, including building, maintaining and developing reports and dashboards
  • Experience with data modelling, process automation, SQL or similar analytical tools is an advantage
  • Have a structured approach to data, systems and process improvement
  • Communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing. German and/or Danish will be considered an advantage.

As a person
You are curious, analytical and eager to understand how business performance is created. You enjoy asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and turning complex data into clear recommendations. At the same time, you are pragmatic and understand that the purpose of analysis is to support better decisions. You are a proactive team player who takes ownership and builds strong relationships across functions and cultures.

Most importantly, you are motivated by making an impact, developing your skills and contributing to the future development of the business.
