Business Data Analyst - Transformation Office

【About the Role】
Role Overview: Be the person the business comes to when they need data, and make sure what they ask for actually gets delivered. This role sits between business stakeholders and the Data Pod's technical team: you lead discovery with functions and regions to capture what the business needs and how it defines its own terms, turn that into clear requirements, then steward them through to delivery with the technical team (Data Architect and Data Integration Engineer). You are also the person the pod relies on to know what the business actually meant.

【Key Responsibilities】

1. Business Requirement Discovery & Analysis:
Lead requirement discovery sessions with business stakeholders across functions and regions. Capture business logic, data needs, expected outcomes, and acceptable data quality thresholds. Assess whether requests are well-formed and viable before they enter the delivery pipeline, and translate them into structured requirement documentation the technical team can act on. Where requests touch multiple systems, capture each system's business purpose, ownership, and which one business owners treat as authoritative, as input to the Data Architect's source-of-truth determination.

2. Delivery Coordination & Business Validation:
Own delivery of each data request from approved requirement to business acceptance, coordinating between business stakeholders and the Data Pod — planning delivery schedules, tracking progress against commitments, running recurring check-ins with requesting teams, and managing expectations through the delivery cycle. Validate that what is delivered faithfully reflects the definitions and requirements originally gathered, raising gaps before they reach business users.

3. Cross-Pod Collaboration:
Work alongside the Transformation Office's teams on initiatives that touch the same business stakeholders. Coordinate discovery schedules to avoid duplicate asks on the same teams, hand off issues whose root cause is a process gap rather than a data gap, and align on shared definitions where a process change affects how data is captured.

4. Business Glossary Support:
Support the Business Glossary program by capturing and reconciling business term definitions raised during discovery, and guiding business stakeholders on naming standards and definition practices.
