Business Data Engineer

In this role you will design and implement data systems that enable better decision-making and business optimization. You will build a robust data foundation (SSOT) and ensure analytics readiness across the organisation. You will develop solutions on Skywise and Google platforms, integrating them with the central data layer. You will work with analysts and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions that boost performance and efficiency. • Build and maintain a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) across business applications
• Prepare data for analytics and reporting tools
• Develop workflows, small apps, and dashboards on Skywise and Google AppSheet integrated with SSOT
• Model data using Python (SQLAlchemy) and SQL for robust ORM
• Collaborate with data analysts and teams to align data sources with business needs
• Ensure data integrity with validation and error detection at the database level
• Optimize data workflows to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Automate manual data collection, reporting, and analysis processes
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions for performance tracking
• Develop scalable data solutions to handle increasing data volumes

• Expertise in data architecture with SSOT
• Advanced Python skills with SQLAlchemy for database interactions
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills
• Proficiency with Google products, App Script, AppSheet, and Google Sheets
• Knowledge of Python, Git, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
• Experience with data analysis methodologies and linking data insights to processes
• Ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions
• Experience delivering concepts into production with full-stack oversight
