Business Development Associate

About the Role

The Business Development Associate will support business development, tender submissions, client engagement,

and marketing activities, with a focus on ESD and ESG projects. The role involves preparing proposals and

quotations, coordinating with technical teams, managing client follow-ups, and supporting the company’s growth

and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling Incoming Enquiries

- Monitor and review incoming emails for requests for quotation (RFQs) and other business opportunities.

- Ensure timely acknowledgment and response to client queries.

  • Tender Review and Analysis

- Study and interpret tender requirements, particularly those related to Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD)

and related scopes.

- Coordinate internally to ensure compliance with submission criteria.

  • Proposal Preparation

- Develop and prepare business proposals, technical submissions, and cost quotations in line with tender

specifications.

- Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of submissions to the requester.

  • Client Follow-Up

- Track and follow up on quotations and proposals submitted.

- Maintain proactive communication with clients to strengthen relationships and increase conversion.

  • Tender Participation

- Represent the company in tender interviews, clarification meetings, and presentations.

- Coordinate with project and technical teams to prepare supporting materials for interviews.

  • Contract Review

- Review agreements and contracts for awarded projects to ensure alignment with company interests.

- Liaise with management and legal advisors where required.

  • Marketing & Business Development Support

- Manage and execute marketing activities including LinkedIn postings, website updates, and other business

outreach initiatives.

- Support branding and client engagement strategies to enhance company visibility.

  • Support for ESD & ESG Projects

- Assist project teams in Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) and Environmental, Social, and Governance

(ESG) works, such as carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, and related deliverables.

Requirements

 Degree in Quantity Surveyor, Building Science, or related field

 2 years of professional experience in QS, building performance, or green building consulting

 Strong understanding of cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and cost control principles

 Experience in QS workflows

 Excellent technical writing, communication, and coordination skills

 Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience in business development including sales, brand management and business growth

 Familiarity with environmental regulations, sustainability principles, and best practices in the construction

industry
