BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Company's regional business development strategy to expand its exhibition design and build services.
- Identify new business opportunities with multinational corporations, exhibition organisers, event agencies, government bodies, and trade associations.
- Lead negotiations for high-value exhibition, event, museum, retail display, and experiential marketing projects.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, strategic partners, venue operators, contractors, and suppliers.
- Develop market expansion strategies for Singapore and overseas markets, including participation in international trade exhibitions and industry events.
- Collaborate with the design, project management, production, and operations teams to ensure commercial proposals meet client requirements and profitability objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of tenders, quotations, commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop annual sales targets, budgets, and revenue forecasts, and monitor business performance against strategic objectives.
- Lead and mentor the business development team, establishing KPIs and driving business growth.
- Work closely with senior management on strategic planning, branding, and market positioning.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, corporate governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Represent the Company at local and international exhibitions, business networking events, trade fairs, and industry conferences to strengthen market presence.
- Prepare periodic reports for the Board of Directors and senior management on business development activities, pipeline status, and market performance.
- Explore strategic collaborations, joint ventures, and partnerships to enhance the Company's competitive advantage and long-term growth.
Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or commercial management within the exhibition, events, interior fit-out, or design industry.
- Proven track record in developing regional business and managing key corporate accounts.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and project management skills.
